slow futur was the name of the live soundtrack of zombie zombie for a juggling company. an add project that we decided to release some months ago, consisting in 4 tracks of 15 minutes. we were suprisingly sold out very quick. so we decided to give that record a longer life having some new mixes of one the track : hyperspace. tolouse low trax is all around the place at the moment. the amazing resident dj at salon des amareurs in dusseldorf provides a kind of sleazy remix here,that never really starts but subtlelly evolves while i:cube brings it in the dub territories, in a lush mood. enfin, gilb r provides a little reprise,putting the percussions in the front for a tropical effect.

*isigude (pronounced - e-see-goo-de... meaning bird of paradise) is a newly founded record label based in athens, greece. for our debut release we have dug deep into the archives of greek jazz fusion to unearth and reissue some obscurities from the catalogue of esteemed composer michalis rakintzis. rakintzis should need no introduction to greek ears, widely recognised as a celebrated composer and lyricist since the 1980s with his career taking in more than 20 personal albums, numerous singles and several high profile collaborations. his composition “arrest”, lifted from 1988 s ost to the film -lifelong- was selected and included on the hugely popular greek music compilation -into the light- in 2012. for isigude s first 12- vinyl release we draw our focus to the 1987 track “i don’t believe” featuring vocalist eleni dimou. -i don t believe- combines pop, rock and eastern melodies and feelings and sold more than 100.000 on it s original release. featured here in remixed form by up and coming greek producer zaq (a.k.a img_02) the original composition is reimagined and the result is a low tempo dreamy, balearic disco burner with dimou s lyrics expressing her disbelief in love, beautiful moments, oaths and sacrifices, with her requesting to be set free. a truly beautiful and tasteful reimagining of a lost rarity, the perfect way to launch the label.

hard previously unreleased dubplate cuts on side a, i roy vocal & dub on the same rhythm on the b-side! legendary channel 1 dubplate music. this version of -free black man- by earth & stone was scrapped for release in favor of the softer version that eventually appeared on their -kool roots- album, but this heavy cut achieved infamous dubplate status thru play on uk sound systems. in the case of this tune, it seems only dubwise cuts made the rounds, as we ve not heard (or heard of) a full vocal. and like many tunes not pegged for release from back in the day, mixdown masters were never kept, so only dubplates remain to haunt us. here you get two hard dubwise cuts, remastered from dubplate (punters beware!), raw as ever. on the flip side, i roy s vocal, the only released cut on this rhythm, as well as the only released dub, as appeared on the -musical dub attack.-

deep88 is back! here is a 7 track lp, music without any pretence, no silly fx or crazy compression/production tricks to take away from the music. just that 1988/1993 vibe with a slight balearic twist but some how avoiding to sound like a poor copy or dated. this last statement couldnt be any truer on this release. the vibe is carried through the whole ep with each consequent track then offering something a little bit different, some showing his balearic side and other tracks having a more house feel.

rhythm section look to poland once more for two of the most uplifting tracks of the year. earth trax (known for his productions as the phantom & one half of ptaki) and newcomer newborn junior pull two absolute classics out of the bag here that do what they say on the tin. both sax track and flute track centre around ecstatic midi melodies on (you guessed it) saxophone and flute! falling somewhere between the late night deep house excursions of ron trent (circa morning factory era) and more recent retro-leaning breakbeat driven output from the pender street steppers et al, the sax & flute ep is a masterclass in sustain-release. euphoria guaranteed - or your money back!

d3 elements continues to mine the fertile soil of midwest inspired house, techno and electro with this fantastic new album from michael dykehouse (sometimes found turning out experimental fare on planet mu and ghostly). here the grooves are immediate and engaging across nine tracks, from the bubbly -meltdown morning- to the spooked-out -clock division-, touching on a range of styles all bound together by a commitment to classic drum machine beats and synthesiser tones. this is far from a throwback record though, instead celebrating dykehouse s innate musicality through all manner of tempos and moods and coming out as a well-rounded long player in the process.

having already issued a few cassettes via his own harsh riddims label as well as cgi’s sister label dka records, ryan parks brings his fit of body project to cgi for his debut 12inch, release. here we are treated with two previously unreleased original cuts as well as galcher lustwerk and twins reworks of a pair of older tunes. fit of body’s sound is unique among the current crop of bedroom dance producers in that it can ignite a dancefloor while still feeling deeply personal. this mood is enhanced by the way parks colours his tracks with his own voice. his approach to adding live instrumentation to the arrangements lends a handmade delicacy otherwise lacking in so much hyper-quantized machine music. these are tracks that will feel at home in the dj booth, your living room and your bedroom.

the label say sounding like a comedown-classic which is way too funky to be an ambient record and has the power to cut as deep as any decent delta blues album.. we like it here. tip!

parachute is proud and excited to release art rock unit starfuckers legendary sinistri lp, remastered and pressed on vinyl for the very first time since its original version in 1994 on underground records. formed in 1987, starfuckers is an italian avant-garde band primarily from the 1990s, considered a notable part of the experimental rock scene and one of the more out there acts during their active tenure. originally inspired by 80s post-stooges noise and new york city no wave, starfuckers eventually carved their path to their own distinctive sound by following in the footsteps of xenakis, john cage, maderna and stockhausen — all without ever abandoning their own attitude and raw personality. an incredibly important record for us here at the label, sinistri feels just as fresh in 2016 as it did in 1994.
